Justice League disappoints in its opening weekend

Justice League now sits at eighth on the list of domestic opening weekends for 2017, wedged between The Fate of the Furious and Logan, the latter of which has been nudged down to ninth spot. It's not even in the top 50 domestic openings of all time, ranking 53rd behind "Fast and Furious 6".

"For every macro budget superhero movie the stakes are incredibly high and with that comes an enormous pressure to exceed all expectations and for DC, this has never been more true". When coming to the worldwide total, the movie has made a solid $281.5 million. The film's lacklustre opening, though, will hurt the studio more than its humdrum reviews.

"The movie was way better than Batman vs. Superman and came out better than I expected", said moviegoer William Foody.

"Our path to box-office success is different than what we thought". "There will be 35% of schoolchildren out of school on Monday and Tuesday and 75% out on Wednesday".

"We the undersigned make this petition, because during the last few months, the film Justice League underwent a few changes in terms of composer and runtime", reads the petition.

While director Zack Snyder certainly has his critics, he's also got a very devoted fan base - one which has launched a new campaign for Warner Bros.to release his original version of Justice League with a petition on Change.org which has so far attracted nearly 60,000 signatures.

With an all-star cast including Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Ben Affleck as Batman and Henry Cavill as Superman, Justice League - based on the DC Comics superheroes team - sees a mash-up of classic characters fending off super-villain Steppenwolf (Ciaran Hinds).

After the list was announced, ruckus broke out among BJP workers on several seats like Padra, Ankleshwar, Mahuva and others. Dinesh Patel also alleged that the Police has been targeting the community, and posing a threat to their lives.

Warner Bros. had dearly hoped that Justice League would mark the turning point for the DC Extended Universe, which - aside from the critically acclaimed Wonder Woman - has been struggling to find a firm footing ever since it was launched in 2011.

"Joss Whedon saved this film".

Also, if this film was supposed to rival Marvel's "Avengers", it's way behind. The movie's 39% Rotten Tomatoes score probably didn't help either.

In at second - earning $27.1 million - was Lionsgate's newly-released "Wonder", according to the box office tracker. "Wonder", starring Jacob Tremblay as a fifth grader with a facial deformity, received an A+ CinemaScore with an audience that was 68% female and 66% over 25. Roberts plays the boy's mother, and Owen Wilson portrays his father.

Production companies include Mandeville Films, Walden Media, Participant Media and TIK Films. "The book has sold over 8 million copies and so many kids are reading it", he added.

Paramount's "Daddy's Home 2" halved its earnings from last weekend, dropping to fourth place with $14.8 million. The religious-themed animated film The Star also debuted taking out sixth place at $10 million with an A CinemaScore. The domestic family comedy amassed 70,993 admissions for a total of 1.45 million at the box office. And even that was close, with Logan grossing $88 million in its opening weekend.
