Rendon and Taylor come up short for first Gold Gloves

The Detroit Tigers second baseman was beaten out by the Minnesota Twins' Brian Dozier for the American League honors released Tuesday.

Jason Heyward (left) is the first Cub to win Gold Gloves in back-to-back seasons since Greg Maddux. He previously won the award in 2009 and 2010.

Heyward was selected over Yasiel Puig of the Dodgers and Giancarlo Stanton of the Marlins.

Toronto Blue Jays right-hander Marcus Stroman is a Gold Glove victor for the first time in his career.

The 32-year-old beat Manny Machado of the Baltimore Orioles and Jose Ramirez of the Cleveland Indians to win the award.

Stroman is the tenth player in Jays history to be named a Gold Glove recipient.
