Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck does not believe he will need a second surgery on his right shoulder after spending the past six weeks working with a trainer in the Netherlands.
"The pain has significantly gone down and that's why I'm so optimistic", Luck said in his first public comments in more than two months. "You get really nervous and you feel quite helpless because you have zero control of what goes on, and coming to terms with having zero control was important for me". I do not feel like I need another surgery. "It feels weird, but I don't feel like I'm part of this team right now".

Luck hurt the shoulder in September 2015, missed the next two games then returned for four more before sitting out the last seven with a lacerated kidney.
He played last season and threw for 4,240 yards and 31 touchdowns last season. You don't feel like you can contribute. "That's how I feel today".
