Due to Winter Storm Warning, Expect Delays in CCRTA Service

The winter storm warning, which was issued Friday, means severe winter weather conditions are occurring. The low will move off the New England coast tonight.

Snowstorm Benji is making its way from the South to the Northeast, after blanketing Florida, Texas and Alabama with record snowfall, leaving 250,000 without power, according to the Weather Channel.

A winter weather advisory will be in effect from 4 a.m. Saturday to 7 a.m. Sunday, with snow expected to create hard travel conditions. Atlanta has picked up between five and 10 inches of snow, as of Saturday morning.

With snow still falling, Laurel reports 4.5 inches, Stockley 4.3 inches and Lewes 2.5 inches.
