Wind chill watch in effect Sunday through Monday morning

The dangerously cold wind chills have prompted the National Weather Service to enact a wind chill advisory from midnight tonight to midnight Sunday night for all of eastern Nebraska, western Iowa, northwest Missouri and northeast Kansas.

A Wind Chill Advisory is in effect until 7pm Tuesday. This extreme cold may cause frost bite within 10 minutes if you have exposed skin! Northwest winds will kick around 15 miles per hour, with gusts up to 25 miles per hour.

"Wind chill values of 20 below zero to 30 below zero are expected to begin Sunday night and continue through Monday morning", it said.

People throughout Green Country are dealing with a blast of cold air right now and it's going to get colder Saturday night. Also be sure to bring pets indoors. This is because the breezy winds combined with the cold air will create wind chill vales that go from 0 to -10.
