Brutal cold continues… Wind Chill WARNING through Tuesday

Risky wind chills will stick around into the day Wednesday, with a wind chill advisory in effect for the area through noon Wednesday.

Another night of cold air with sub zero wind chills is expected tonight.

If you plan on being outside for any length of time, dress in layers. Frost bite and hypothermia can occur if precautions are not taken.

Temperatures will drop from 20s to teens by 7 PM this evening.

People throughout Green Country are dealing with a blast of cold air right now and it's going to get colder Saturday night. This is because the breezy winds combined with the cold air will create wind chill vales that go from 0 to -10.

Northwest Missouri and northeast Kansas are starting off the new year with bone-chilling temperatures Monday morning. Winds will range from 10-15 miles per hour much of the time.

Our temperatures have been below freezing for the past nine consecutive days.

Temperatures will break freezing briefly on Wednesday. A weak upper level wave moves through Wednesday afternoon, which should spark snow showers for the second half of our Wednesday for the northern half of the state. Warming this weekend will bring 40s on Sunday and Monday.

The National Weather Service in Cleveland issued a wind chill advisory Monday afternoon for northern OH, including Ashland, Crawford and Richland counties.
