Nickelodeon & WWE Superstar John Cena Announce 3 Projects for 2018

Many wrestling fans have been aching for John Cena to turn heel for years.

Last year the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion hosted the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards, and earlier today he announced that he will be returning to host the show this year as well.

Said Cena, "I'm thrilled to partner with Nickelodeon on three big projects that run the range of what kids love-slime-filled live events, awesomely cool animation and competition shows where kids take their shot at being the best".

Cena joins an already impressive cast on the series that includes Ben Schwartz (DuckTales), Omar Miller (Ballers), Josh Brener (Silicon Valley), Brandon Mychal Smith (You're The Worst) and Kat Graham (The Vampire Diaries)-who will lend her voice to the first African-American portrayal of April O'Neil. "Kids just love him, which makes him the ideal partner for these upcoming projects", said Cyma Zarghami, President, Nickelodeon Group.

The character will be a recurring one in the series and is introduced in the upcoming premiere.
