Young charged for Tadic clash

Manchester United winger Ashley Young has been handed a three-match ban by the English Football Association after accepting a violent conduct charge during the match against Southampton.

The 32-year-old accepted an FA charge after he appeared to elbow Southampton's Dusan Tadic during a Premier League match on Saturday.

Just a day after Young was officially banned, Southampton player Tadic has revealed what the Manchester United player said shortly after the incident. "This was rejected by a Regulatory Commission".

Swansea defender Kyle Naughton has also been charged with violent conduct by the FA for allegedly stamping on Watford's Stefano Okaka during the Welsh side's 2-1 victory at Vicarage Road on Saturday. He's expected to miss Premier League matches with Everton and Stoke City, as well as a 3rd round FA Cup match with Derby County.

The news on Young is another blow for United manager Jose Mourinho, who is already without full-back Antonio Valencia, club captain Michael Carrick, Chris Smalling, Eric Bailly, Marouane Fellaini, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Romelu Lukaku due to injury.
