Florida Girl Found with Abductor in GA Hotel

On Sunday, Alice Johnson's dad noticed she was gone when he tried to wake up her for church.

A suburban Chicago man was arrested in Georgia on Sunday after officials said they found him in a hotel room with an 11-year-old girl.

Police said during a press conference on Monday, according to an ABC affiliate, that Byrns "lived in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, and he traveled quite a ways to get to her".

Officials say Alice Johnson was found at a Holiday Inn Express in Macon, Georgia, with 24-year-old John Peter Byrns Sunday afternoon after tracking her cell phone.

Police said Byrns initially made contact with the girl through an online video game platform, where he posed as a young girl.

The TV station spoke with the girl's mother earlier on Sunday and she said her daughter had been in communication with a person online who lives in IL. She was with Byrns, but police would not go into detail about what went on between the two while they were together.

The numbers show that Uber under Khosrowshahi is on a path toward profitability and a sustainable economic model, Kulkarni said. The figure leaves out legal costs and stock-based compensation, as well as taxes, interest and other expenses.

Demings said the episode was a "cautionary tale" that should remind parents to monitor their children's online activity and be aware of who they are communicating with.

"I would say she's lucky to be alive".

"Her mother had given us information in reference to a particular individual she was chatting with, and that's kind of what drew us in that direction", said Sgt. Brandon Ragan with the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

"We don't want this situation to repeat itself", Demings said.

Demings said Byrns is not a registered sex offender. Byrns is expected to face charges.
