Kylie Jenner's disgruntled tweet rips off $1.3 billion of Snapchat

Kylie Jenner's disgruntled tweet rips off $1.3 billion of Snapchat

The Maybelline poll came a day after Jenner expressed sadness that she no longer opens Snapchat, and her 24.5 million followers echoed the sentiment. "Or is it just me. ugh this is so sad", she wrote.

Jenner's tweet went instantly viral on Twitter, racking up 315,000 likes, 60,000 re-tweets and 4,200 comments in 24 hours.

More than $1bn was wiped off Snap Inc's market value on Thursday, in one of the company's worst trading days since it went public previous year - and the rout was led by a bored tweet from a member of the Kardashian clan. A tweet sent out by Kylie Jenner caused devastating issues for Snapchat, as they saw their market cap drop by $1.7 billion.

However, this is clearly nowhere near as interesting a story as a yarn about Kylie krashing the valuation of Snapchat.

The new mum took to Twitter to talk about her daughter, Stormi, for the first time, and made a decision to share her thoughts on Snapchat, an app which she is famous for using regularly (and that really is an understatement). Nowadays, the main use of Snapchat has been emulated by bigger social media apps, including Instagram and Facebook. Snapchat brought about a new app layout, and most users remained critical of the confusion it created.

Horner admits Red Bull eyeing title
Red Bull team principal Christian Horner added: "The special edition livery has made its mark on the 2018 season ". So far I can see fine with the Halo. "It's always hard to tell from a few laps but the initial feeling is good.

However, last week, Spiegel said that some complaints about the update actually "validate those changes". Well, those who use it have overwhelmingly said they don't like the way it all works now. According to the now deleted screenshots seen by Marketing, the beauty brand admitted that views on its Snapchat have "dropped dramatically". They are now trying to determine if the brand will even stay on Snapchat following the huge tumble in popularity for the app.

Kylie Jenner has wiped $1.3 billion (£1 billion) from Snapchat's market value, after she complained about the controversial redesign of the app on Twitter.

The redesign has been panned online by everyday users, who signed a Change.org petition to that effect.

Snapchat earlier this month introduced a redesign Snapchat for its users.
