'Russian Excuse Became Narrative of Dems' as 'Crooked Hillary' Lost

A senior Obama administration official has been quoted as saying the administration "choked" when dealing with Russian Federation.

After last week's DOJ bombshell indictment of 16 Russia nationals and Russian companies for violating USA laws by pouring millions of dollars into a highly-sophisticated operation that disrupted the election, on Monday Trump conceded Russian involvement.

Why hasn't our president approved the sanctions for Russian Federation overwhelming supported by our legislative branch after our intelligence agencies proved that Russian Federation tried to interfere with our election? Trump tweeted on Monday. "The indictment also did not allege wrongdoing by Trump's campaign or his associates, even though it indicates that the Russians supported Trump's campaign".

"Obama was President up to, and beyond, the 2016 Election".

A later report from The Post quoted a senior Obama administration official as saying the response to Russia's hacking "is the hardest thing about my entire time in government to defend", adding, "I feel like we sort of choked". "I have seen all of the Russian ads and I can say very definitively that swaying the election was *NOT* the main goal", stated Goldman.

Claiming Obama did nothing about Russian interference because he thought fellow Democrat Hillary Clinton would win the election, Trump tweeted that "when I easily won the Electoral College, the whole game changed and the Russian excuse became the narrative of the Dems".

On Sunday, Trump received validation of that view from an unexpected source; Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee.

"Nothing we found contradicts the Special Counsel's indictments", said Joel Kaplan, vice president of global policy for Facebook, in a statement passed along by a Facebook spokesman Tuesday.

In 2014, Russian Federation invaded and illegally annexed Ukraine's Crimea region to a muted U.S. and North Atlantic Treaty Organisation response.

Trump frequently expresses a desire to make friends with Putin, and he recently declined to impose new sanctions on Russian Federation, instead saying new regulations to foreign military sales would undercut Russia's revenue.

Trump repeatedly rejected the assertions by US intelligence agencies that Russian Federation was behind the hacking.

But in other cases, Trump has seemed more willing to confront Russian Federation and its allies. It would have been stunning to hear him address this topic at all as recently as last week, when the show's duty was to dismiss any hint that Trump may have aided Russian Federation in meddling with the 2016 election.

But Earhardt's remark is indicative of a new phase in Trump apologists' defenses against allegations of Russian collusion.

Trump also authorized a strike on a Syrian air base that United States intelligence sources believed was involved in chemical-weapons attacks on civilians.

"I said all along that I thought the Obama administration should have done more", Schiff told CNN on Sunday.
