Xiaomi has finally announced the launch of the latest Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro smartphones in India. And as it has been the hallmark of the Chinese brand's campaign in the country, the motto with the new Redmi Note 5 Pro too is to offer more for less.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro is fueled by a 4,000mAh battery carrying support for 5V/2A charging.

The Redmi Note 5 flaunts a 5.99-inch Full-HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) display with 2.5D curved glass and 18:9 aspect ratio with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 Protection. The Redmi Note 5 Pro will be available in two variants, 4GB RAM/64GB storage and 6GB RAM/64GB storage. The Redmi Note 5 is backed by a 4000mah battery and it runs on MIUI 9 based on Android 7.1.2 Nougat. It will be available in Rose Gold, Gold, Blue and Black color variants. This phone comes with two variants - 3GB RAM with 32GB storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB storage expandable upto 128GB with microSD card.

On the front is a 20-megapixel Sony IMX376 sensor with f/2.2 aperture, AI-based Beautify 4.0 and LED selfie-light. It has the same release date as the Redmi Note 5 - February 22 - and will also be available via Flipkart, Mi Home, and Mi.com.

Users can also use the front camera to unlock the smartphone.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro is the first smartphone to run Qualcomm's Snapdragon 636 processor under its hood. It measures 158.6 x 75.4 and weighs 181 grams.
