Chiefs to sign WR Watkins

When free agency opens Wednesday, former Rams' WR Sammy Watkins intends to sign with the KC Chiefs, source tells ESPN.

The Bears and Packers are pursuing both Allen Robinson and Sammy Watkins, according to National Football League insider Ian Rapoport.

The Chiefs have been looking for a playmaking wide receiver to pair with speedster Tyreek Hill since last offseason, but resorted to using Chris Conley in the role.

Watkins played for the Los Angeles Rams in 2017 after three seasons with the Buffalo Bills.

New Zealand 223 all out in 5th ODI vs. England
It took an 84-run seventh-wicket stand between Santner and Henry Nicholls to add some respectability to the New Zealand tally. Bairstow and Alex Hales put on 155 for the first wicket as England rampaged towards their small target of 224.

The Kansas City Chiefs have reportedly reached an agreement with one of the top free agent wide receivers on the market. He had his best statistical season in 2015 when he caught 60 passes for 1,047 yards and nine touchdowns.

Watkins had 39 receptions for 593 yards and a team-leading eight receiving touchdowns with the Los Angeles Rams last season, helping the team to an 11-5 record and the NFC West division title.

Very early on Tuesday morning, there was the report from numerous outlets that wide receiver Allen Robinson will be leaving the Jacksonville Jaguars for the Chicago Bears. As Mahomes gets set to take over for Alex Smith, obviously it should help to have plenty of talent around the second-year quarterback.

The deal is expected to pay Watkins roughly $16 million per season over the life of the contract.
