Fitbit announces Versa, its latest smartwatch fitness tracker

Pictured is the Fitbit Ace, a new product announced today that was designed for children as young as eight years old. The Fitbit Versa Special Edition will be available for Rs. 21,999. It will be released in April.

It has numerous same features as the Ionic, and some new ones, too. The Versa looks more like something Pebble would have produced, drawing on many design features from the Pebble Time, in particular. This is created to become more personalised over time, sending reminders and providing insights based on your previous data (coming later in 2018).

For starters, the bezel is much thinner around the display.

Fitbit itself will also offer bands. It's smaller in size and more discreet than the Ionic. It's made from anodized aluminum, and comes in black, rose gold and charcoal - aka gray.

The versa is available to preorder now for $200, or $230 for the special edition models. Since these bands aren't particularly great for sport, standard silicone bands are included too.

While the heart rate sensors are identical to the Ionic, you don't get built-in Global Positioning System with the Versa, so you'll need to have it paired to your phone if you do want to track your outdoor workouts.

Fitbit Coach is also here to give you workouts you can perform at home, plus there's a feature that allows you to monitor your cardio fitness level.

Smart notifications also work on the Fitbit Versa, so you'll be able to receive messages from a variety of apps right through to your wrist.

Israeli ministers advance bill in bid to prevent early polls
The political tremor comes as Netanyahu and his close associates are involved in at least four corruption cases. A number of votes must occur before the end of the week to greatly lessen the chances of early elections.

Store and play your favorite music, and download stations from Pandora - then play it via Bluetooth to your wireless headphones!

There's quite a bit to unpack in the Versa, so we've broken it down for you below. You can also transfer your own music to the Versa much like the Ionic. The Versa provides access to Fitbit's growing library of apps.

The Fitbit Versa is the company's effort to reach a larger audience with their devices - with a particular focus on women.

Chase said Fitbit wants these reminders and guidance to feel like the company is having a conversation with you about your health and fitness, rather than it nagging you to hit your step goal.

All of your main components are organized on the left-hand side by category, making it easy to see your primary JavaScript code, CSS workspace for changing up the look of your app, two tabs for the UI, and a Package tab that lets you request various permissions and choose which languages you want to be supported. They'll also be able to view cycle predictions, as well as gain insights about menstrual cycles, ovulation, and fertility. It's a small but helpful tweak.

With childhood obesity and diabetes rates continuing to rise, Fitbit clearly believes it has a responsibility to help more than just parents get in shape. Those numbers are a little misleading for United Kingdom users, where none of the major high-street banks now support the payment platform. That's why Fitbit is rolling out female health-tracking features. Beyond the gorgeous design and colors, get this: four plus days of battery life! The redesigned smartwatch is a far cry from the Ionic's angular aesthetic, which I intensely disliked.

But the Versa will retail for $100 less.

Fitbit says that the Versa is the "lightest metal smartwatch in the U.S. market", which makes the claimed 4 days of battery life pretty impressive.
