Apple issues iPhone 8, 8 Plus in red

As the name of the sale suggests, Amazon is offering heavy discounts on both new and old iPhones, starting from iPhone 6 to Apple's tenth-anniversary edition device - the iPhone X, but surprisingly we don't see the iPhone 7 Plus listed under the offer.

The handsets will be available to order online in select countries and regions tomorrow and in stores beginning April 13, Apple disclosed.

"IPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus improves on everything we love about iPhone, including Retina HD displays that are more lovely than ever, the most powerful and smartest chip ever in a smartphone with the A11 Bionic and more advanced cameras for unbelievable photos and videos".

Apple has previously supported this organisation back in 2006 with similarly branded devices, the company has since donated over US$160 million to the RED worldwide fund, making Apple the largest corporate donor.

Apple will once again partner with Product (RED) on their phones.

The base iPhone 8 also gets the red treatment, available in 64GB or 256GB versions.

Alleged Toronto serial killer facing another charge
FILE - This undated file photo released by Toronto police shows Abdulbasir Faizi, an Afghan who immigrated to Canada from Iran. The new charge was announced as the 66-year-old landscaper appeared by video in a Toronto courtroom Wednesday morning.

To recall, Apple earlier introduced the (PRODUCT) RED iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus in India as well. The phones now feature a black front panel instead of the white front panel.

Unfortunately, Apple didn't announce the Product Red Special Edition for iPhone X, but the company did launch a new Leather Folio case for the phone, which features a deeper red finish and comes with a price tag of Rs 7,999. There is one small difference from that release and this year's edition. It has a bright red enclosure and a black front.

Reports indicate the screens on a number of just-repaired iPhone 8s stopped responding to touch controls after the iOS 11.3 update.

The (PRODUCT) RED iPhone X Leather Folio will be available in the U.S. through Apple's website, App Store and Apple Stores.

The phones affected by the issue are those that were repaired by non-Apple third parties.
