Duchess To Give Birth At St Mary's Hospital

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge (aka Kate Middleton) is now pregnant with her third child with Prince William.

The first official sign that the Duchess of Cambridge is about to give birth comes from the temporary no parking signs placed outside the Lindo Wing at St. Mary's Hospital in Paddington, West London.

On April 10, parking restrictions also came into force, with entrances and four parking spaces being cleared outside the hospital.

Kensington Palace has only said the baby is due sometime in April. Kate is due to give birth later this month but with the signs already up, a media scrum is on its way.

The Lindo Wing's internationally renowned obstetric unit caters for complex pregnancies and deliveries as well as multiple births and it has the benefit of being based in an NHS hospital if further complications arise, including its facilities for premature babies in the Winnicott Baby Unit.

Crowd barriers have also been erected, presumably in preparation for the crowds of reporters, photographers and well-wishers that will inevitably gather when the expectant mum goes into labour.

China supports probe of alleged chemical attack in Syria
At least 14 people have died following missile strikes on a Syrian military air base in Tayfur, near the city of Homs. The European Union also said evidence pointed to the use of chemical weapons by Assad's forces.

This is because the two-year-old will become the first female royal to retain her claim to the throne irrespective of whether her new sibling is a boy or a girl, reports the Independent.

In terms of baby names for Kate and Wills' third child, Alice is now the bookies' favourite for a girl while Phillip has overtaken monikers including Harry, Edward, Arthur and Albert for a boy.

It's thought that consultant obstetrician Guy Thorpe-Beeston and consultant gynaecologist Alan Farthing will both be on hand to help with the birth, according to the Daily Mail.

When the royal family heads home to Kensington Palace, the baby's name will be revealed.

Kate is likely to take an extended period off to recover and nurse the latest addition to her family but is expected to attend Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding on May 19. However be warned, if the royal baby is born at night, the palace won't make any announcements until 9 a.m. United Kingdom time (4 a.m. ET).

And speculation has been rife that the baby could be due on St. George's day (23rd April).
