Apple now has more than 50 autonomous cars on the road

Since last April, Apple has been steadily adding new vehicles to its fleet, all of which are equipped with the autonomous driving software that Apple is developing.

After that, Park drones, Apple became the second largest in California.

In the beginning of 2018, the figure was 27 cars, and at the start of the tests - only three, according to TechCrunch.

According to the Department of motor vehicles California, now registered in the state of unmanned vehicles is 409 units, a license for their testing got nearly 1600 drivers.

Nonetheless, it underlines how seriously Apple is taking this technology.

Swansea joins Stoke in being relegated from Premier League
With a 19-point advantage over United, City outperformed their rivals' 1999-2000 margin of 18 over Arsenal . Spirit remains at Stoke despite its relegation, as it dragged Swansea down with it.

Apple has 55 permits that allow it to test self-driving cars on California roads, finishing second behind General Motors' Cruise division, which has 104 permits.

The Cupertino-based tech giant had 45 self-driving cars until late March. Waymo has 51 cars in the state, but also has 338 registered drivers.

In April 2017 NV reported that Apple received a license to test driverless cars on roads in California. This is pretty much what all its rivals have been doing as well, but in Apple's case the brand may never progress to the point where it'll be building its own self-driving electric vehicle. That puts it four cars ahead of the latest figures we have for Waymo, Alphabet's self-driving vehicle division thought to be among the leaders in the sector. Apple CEO Tim Cook has called self-driving "a core technology that we view as very important".

He added, "We sort of see autonomous cars as the mother of all AI projects It's probably one of the most hard AI projects actually to work on. It's probably one of the most hard AI projects actually to work on", Cook said last summer.
