Man United boss Jose Mourinho personally scouted PSG star

Manchester United have reached an agreement with Shakhtar Donetsk to sign Brazil midfielder Fred.

United have been keen to get their transfer business before the World Cup starts and are close to making Porto right-back Diogo Dalot their second signing.

Dalot has a £17.4m release clause and is understood to have had his medical.

Fred is in Brazil's World Cup squad and appeared as an 82nd-minute substitute for his country as they beat Croatia 2-0 in a friendly at Anfield on Sunday.

His global boss Tite wants the move confirmed well before his side's World Cup opener against Switzerland in Rostov on 17th June, so that Fred's mind can be entirely on providing competition for the likes of Casemiro and Fernandinho in the midfield. With a midfielder already purchased in Fred, tabs will be kept on potential defensive improvements such as the often-linked Marquinhos recently dropped by Tite in favour of PSG teammate Thiago Silva.

Fulham must invest to survive, admits Jokanovic
With a big game, it's tough to swallow . "It's not me to make excuses, in the first half in particular we didn't do enough ". If Fulham can retain Sessegnon and Cairney, they will have two significant assets as they build for next season.

Fred's career has not been without controversy however.

According to the same article, Verratti is one of a number of big-name transfer targets being considered by Manchester United this summer. But the suspension only applied to games sanctioned by Conmebol, the South American football confederation.

"He's very happy to come to the Premier League to play, we talked a little bit about that", added Willian, who switched to Chelsea in the summer of 2013.

A stunning free-kick in the first leg of that tie was a glimpse of what Fred's talented left foot can produce.
