Suspect arrested over rapper XXXTentacion's drive-by shooting death

Though police said that they are not looking for any other suspects, local reports suggest that two other arrest warrants have been issued over the matter. Charges against Williams include first-degree murder, a probation violation for theft of a vehicle, and driving without a valid license.

Officials said the musician, whose real name is Jahseh Onfroy, was ambushed by two suspects as he left an upscale motor sports dealership Monday afternoon in his electric BMW. The rapper had left Riva Motorsports in Deerfield Beach, Florida. By the time police arrived and tried to revive Onfroy, he was slumped in his seat, dead.

Earlier this week, Ayala, who claimed XXXTentacion beat and choked her, showed up to a vigil for the rapper but was chased out by fans who burned mementos she tried to leave in his memory, the Daily Mail reported.

His Florida lawyer, David Bogenschutz, told USA TODAY that detectives were considering the possibility XXXTentacion was the victim of a random armed robbery: The rapper was driving a $147,000 auto, Bogenschutz said, and a small Louis Vuitton bag he typically carried was missing. The other suspect was reportedly wearing a dark outfit and a red mask. After denying any connection to the murder, Soldier Kidd suspiciously deleted his Instagram account. Since his tragic passing, the Broward County Sheriff's Department have been investigating the crime, and on June 21, they arrested a 22-year-old man for XXX's murder.

Williams faced court this morning, on the charge of first-degree murder.

David Bogenschutz, the attorney for the young performer and songwriter, previously told the South Florida Sun Sentinel that detectives were initially investigating the killing that began as a random robbery. In fact, this murder may have nothing to do with any beef or vendetta. This is what led to internet sleuths to connect Solider Kidd and Solider Jojo to the shooting.
