USA indicts Russian intel officers ahead of Trump-Putin meet

On Saturday morning, two days before he meets with Vladimir Putin in Helsinki, President Trump once again blamed President Obama for failing to prevent the Russian hacking of Democratic National Committee servers in 2016.

The Kremlin said there was no evidence linking the 12 to military intelligence or hacking.

The indictment was announced at nearly exactly the moment that Trump rolled into the quadrangle of Windsor Castle to meet the awaiting Queen Elizabeth II in the symbolic highpoint of his visit to Britain.

A Washington Post reporter falsely claimed Friday that the beginning of the Russian effort to hack Hillary Clinton's campaign emails came the very same day that her opponent, Donald Trump, called on Russia to find Clinton's State Department emails.

Russian intelligence officials used an IL computer as part of an operation to hack Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee documents, according to a federal indictment released Friday.

"I know that the situation in the region is hard and we are grateful that you have used the World Cup as a reason to come to Moscow", Putin said, adding that he was glad of the opportunity to discuss the problems facing the Palestinians.

This story is breaking and will be updated.

The White House seized on those points in a statement that offered no condemnation of Russian election interference.

The resolution that passed along party lines Thursday demanded that the department turn over by July 6 documents on FBI investigations into Clinton's private email use and Trump campaign ties to Russian Federation.

The 29-page indictment lays out how, months before Americans went to the polls, Russians schemed to break into key Democratic email accounts, including those belonging to Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta, the Democratic National Committee and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

End of the road for Conte at Chelsea
There is a lot happening between both Chelsea and Napoli to resolve the situation, according to Napoli lawyer Mattia Grassani. Conte took the Blues training on Thursday morning, but his exit is now imminent and Chelsea's players had the afternoon off.

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein has announced the news following an ongoing investigation into Russian interference.

.

The indictment also provides insight into how the Russians who worked for the St. Petersburg-based Internet Research Agency meddled in the US political process through social media. "There is no allegation that the conspiracy changed the vote count or affected any election result", the White House Deputy Spokesperson Lindsay Walters said.

On Saturday, Twitter suspended two accounts allegedly used by Russian officials to spread information hacked from Democrats' computers and email accounts during the 2016 USA presidential election.

Trump claimed that he is not responsible for taking action against Russian Federation since the hacks did not occur during his term as president.

Trump has previously shown little appetite for pressing the issue, telling reporters after meeting Putin in Vietnam last November that he had finished discussing it and believed the Russian leader's denials were honest.

Nancy Pelosi, the Democratic Party leader, said that the Russians waged a massive, concerted operation to interfere in United States elections, and they will do so again in the fall.

"President Trump should cancel his meeting with Vladimir Putin until Russian Federation takes demonstrable and transparent steps to prove that they won't interfere in future elections", said Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer.

Federal officials also say it's possible that malware might have been planted that could tamper with voting or paralyse computer systems in future elections. It contains no allegations that US citizens committed a crime, he said.

The spies set up fake personas online to release the stolen documents. Before Friday, 20 people and three companies had been charged in the investigation.
