In three hours beginning at 1.30 a.m. on Sunday, police records show that 30 people were shot and two killed in 10 incidents, reports CNN. Eddie Johnson on Monday asked people to stop pointing frustrated fingers at the police and start pointing them at the gunmen who are pulling triggers. This isn't a widespread issue among citizens of the city.

Resources at local hospitals were taxed as shooting victims poured in. A 17-year-old girl is shot in the face and is pronounced dead at the scene.

After former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani pushed false Chicago crime numbers as real, Fox News presented his misleading statistics as fact and did not correct them on-air. The Washington Post can't resist pointing out that Giuliani misspelled McCarthy's first name as "Jerry" and the current mayor's last name as "Emmanuel", and that McCarthy is a Democrat himself.

The mayor had no immediate comment on Giuliani's attacks.
