Motorola Z3 is 'first' 5G-enabled smartphone thanks to Moto Mod add-on

It looks a lot like the Moto Z2 Force Edition and the more recent Z3 Play, which would make it a tough sell except for its very reasonable $480 price. Soon to join them will be the top-of-the-range Z3, which has just been announced.

The 2018 flagship smartphone from Motorola packs a rather humble 3,000 mAh battery pack. The phone is available exclusively on Verizon starting from August 16.

The new offering is, on the face of it, an update to the Moto Z2 Force (there will not be a Moto Z3 Force version this year), but shares numerous same specs as its predecessor.

The Moto Z3 price in the USA has been set at $480 (approximately Rs. 33,000).

There are no firm details about the possible United Kingdom pricing of the Z3 around at the moment. Much like the Moto Z3 Play, Motorola has moved the fingerprint sensor to the side, but it is not a power button (that got moved to the left-hand side) and instead is a separate button. Right now there are no real clues about when the smartphone will be released over here, though. As of now, there is no information on the launch or the price of the Moto Z3 in India. It boasts a 6-inch AMOLED display with minimum bezels and glass back body.

As ‘Kiki challenge goes viral, people worldwide face arrests, fines and injuries
It's called the Kiki Challenge and as a result, some people are getting hurt and it's catching the attention of law enforcement. The teen from Bettendorf, Iowa, was trying to complete the challenge last week when she jumped out of a moving auto .

As confirmed on Twitter and by many news outlets such as Neowin, Moto says it won't be making any more Z3 devices this year. At 156g, it weighs 13g more too. Taking some portraits indoors led to blurrier photos than I've been accustomed to seeing from the Samsung Galaxy S9 and the OnePlus 6.

It is powered by a Snapdragon 835 processor with Adreno 540 GPU, 4GB RAM, and 64GB storage which is also expandable up to 2TB with microSD. The phone includes a dual 12MP rear camera setup, with one being a black & white sensor, as well as a front-facing 8MP sensor. All in all, then, there's not a whole lot to differentiate it from the Z2 Force. On the surface the Moto Z3 is a mid-tier phone, but Motorola - with help from Verizon - hopes to turn it into something special thanks to the new 5G moto mod that will be available in early 2019. Moto z3 is will support Verizon's 5G network when it will launch next year. Mobile 5G technology will be released throughout 2019 by Verizon. The smartphone is one of the first to have 5G capability with a special mod. In fact, it's really just like a Moto Z3 Play but with better internals. Like other Moto phones, it also has water repellent nano-coating. Moto Z3 is splash resistant. Apple's iPhones have batteries that are under 3,000mAh, so the Moto Z3 should theoretically last longer.

With both of these phones, you'll still get a sleek device with a premium metal design, a powerful camera on the back, MotoMods, and a clean version of almost stock Android.

The Moto G5 Plus users in Brazil, India and some other markets have reportedly started receiving the Android 8.1 Oreo update as well.
