Olivia Newton-John Discloses Third Cancer Diagnosis

Olivia Newton-John has opened up about battling cancer for the third time.

The performer, 69, revealed on Sunday that she's treating a tumour in her lower back, during an interview with Australian news program Sunday Night.

She said, "I believe I will win over it".

The English-born entertainer has become a fierce advocate for breast cancer screening in the 26 years since her first diagnosis.

However, there was more heartache for the star when she was diagnosed with cancer in her shoulder in 2013, after she was involved in a minor auto accident.

Among the stars who spoke about Newton-John on 7's Sunday Night programme were Sir Barry Gibb and Sir Cliff Richard.

"I'm one of millions in this fight - I shouldn't say fight - in this journey", she said.

"There are moments, I'm human", she added.

"You know, the first time I talked about it.and the second time I thought, to share this. share with people".

Born in England and a longtime resident of Australia now living in California, Newton-John said she's treating the cancer with a combination of medicine and natural remedies, including cannabis oil for pain.

The star has previously spoken about the shock of the diagnosis, which came on the same weekend that her father died from cancer.

In May 2017, Newton-John cancelled tour dates after her breast cancer returned and spread to her sacrum.

"A lot of cannabis my husband grows for me".

She had a mastectomy and underwent nine months of debilitating chemo to kill the cancer cells. "Always when I sing it, I get a good, happy feeling and I get that positivity and keep on believing". I see as part of my mission. Tinctures. It's hard to say. they help with pain.

"I live in a handsome place, have a wonderful husband, all these animals I adore, I have an incredible career - I have nothing really to complain about". I have nothing, really, to complain about'.
