Suspect Killed In Deputy-Involved Shooting At Del Mar Racetrack

No other injuries were reported.

The newspaper says people saw police and sheriff's department cars arrive at the Del Mar Racetrack about 6:40 p.m. Sunday.

A subsequent report from San Diego's CBS News 8 revealed that a man waiting in line to attend a post-race Ice Cube concert pulled out a gun and fired it three times into the air, prompting sheriffs to tase the suspect. A man in a black and white uniform with a walkie-talkie on his belt was then shown trying to restrain another man.

The San Diego Sheriff's department confirmed to Fox 5 that one person was injured in the shooting.

Commentators could be heard screaming "there's gunfire at the track" as the race took the place.

Eddie Howe rues missed chances in Bournemouth defeat at Chelsea
Chelsea left it late to secure victory against Bournemouth and maintain their 100 per cent record. But in this kind of match, usually you can win in the last 20-25 minutes.

Shots rang out at the crowded venue around 7 p.m. Elizarraras is in stable condition and expected to survive, the sheriff's department said.

Del Mar Racetrack, where the Ice Cube concert is being held tweeted: "The situation has been contained".

Within minutes there was a heavy police presence as San Diego County deputies streamed into the track and a helicopter was seen overhead.

The concert, for which tickets were sold out, was scheduled to follow a full slate of horse races at the track, the station reported. Deputies engaged and returned fire. In light of the circumstances that unfolded involving one individual with a gun, we take consolation in the fact that no patrons, officers or security personnel were injured in the incident. "The concert is moving forward as planned".
